What is this store's return and exchange policy?
Products may be returned unopened within 12 days of purchase. Return shipping cost is the responsibility of the customer.
Lotions, unwrapped soap, clearance items, and Misfit bars are nonreturnable.
How long will it take to receive my order?
From October-April, packages will typically be shipped out within 3-4 business days. From May-September, packages may have minor shipping delays due to high temperatures or rainy weather.
If any part of Florida is affected by a tropical storm or hurricane, orders will be shipped after the storm has passed. In the rare case of a significant disruption due to extreme weather and/or damage, your order may be cancelled and refunded.
Once shipped, most domestic orders take anywhere from 2 to 10 business days to arrive. International shipping delivery times may vary between 2 to 12 weeks.
Do you offer local delivery or pick-up?
We currently do not offer special local delivery. Any orders within Lee County, FL will be shipped through USPS or UPS, just like any other order.
Pick-up is available on certain dates where we will be vending at in-person events. The next available pick-up time is March 12th at the Alliance for the Arts 5-8 PM.
Do you accept orders placed from outside the US?
Our site supports orders from all over the world. Please note that there are some countries that we cannot send mail to. You can see the list here.
As of 12/13/24, we cannot ship to the EU. We hope this may change in the future.
Customers are responsible for paying VAT and/or customs fees on their own. We will not cover these additional fees or offer refunds/discounts due to these fees.
Customers are also responsible for checking their own local import laws. Some countries will not allow soaps and/or lotions to be imported.
I removed my soap from its packaging and later found crystal-like specks on it. What's happening?
This is a phenomenon caused by the natural glycerin in soap drawing moisture from the air, which then forms these crystals. It's especially common in humid environments. It doesn't harm the soap and washes off easily.
How do I take care of handmade soap?
As handmade soaps are a product made by hand, they may need a little more care than the average commercial bar.
Store soaps in a dry, cool location out of direct sunlight. Do not store unwrapped soap on metal surfaces, especially aluminium.
Use a soap dish or soap saver with proper drainage that doesn't allow water to pool. Keep it away from shower spray. Let it dry completely between uses.
Bars can be cut in smaller pieces. Keeping part of the soap in storage means less of the soap is getting exposed to water. Plus, you can switch soap scents more frequently when your small pieces run out. 😉
How do I use your soap?
Soaps can be used by the sink for your hands and in the shower/bath for your body.
Some people use our soaps on their face but we do not personally recommend it. If you decide to use our soaps on your face, stop use if it feels drying.
Our soaps should not be used for dishes, laundry, or hair washing.
Can I eat your soap?
No.
Your soap is too pretty to use! I don't want to waste it. Can I use it as a decoration?
Sure, of course you can. I appreciate that you find my creations beautiful.
However, I will also say that you should use the soap! Sure, it's nice to keep things as display pieces or for a special occasion. But you deserve to use nice things that make you happy every single day. 🤍
Much like cherry blossoms or visits from farflung friends, we enjoy things better when we know that someday soon they'll be gone.

Will a sold out product return?
Not always. Currently, the soaps in the Onigiri Miya collection are the only regularly restocking items. If these are sold out, check back in a few months. If these are marked as 'coming soon,' check back at the beginning of next month.
